Visiting

Visiting times for the hospital are from 2.00pm through to 7.30pm. Generally it is only possible for two visitors to attend a patient at any time, although the ward may agree to more visitors in certain circumstances. Children may visit patients at the discretion of the Nurse-in Charge.

Parking

There are car parks in front of the hospital. These car parks are run on a pay & display basis, so be sure to have some change when visiting. There are a number of disabled car parking spaces provided. There is also a drop off point outside the main entrance, but this is strictly limited to dropping off, and picking up patients. If you need special assistance, please call the hospital prior to arrival.

Meals

Meals are served at the following times Breakfast 8.00am to 8.30am Lunch 12.00 to 12.30pm Dinner 6.00 to 6.30pm Visitors may be asked to leave during meal times. Visitors should check with a nurse before giving a patient any gifts of food or drink to ensure that the do not conflict with patients treatment or medication. There is a snack bar situated at the main entrance.

Restaurant

There is also a restaurant serving meals, and open to patients visitors & staff.

Shops

There is a general store at the main entrance of the hospital, providing essential items, papers, food & drink. There are also a florists, Hospital Appeals Shop, and hairdressers. The League of Friends also operates a small gift stand at the main entrance.
There are regular ward visits by trolley shops, these are operated by volunteers.

Hospital Radio

Hospital Radio Bedside operates from a studio within the grounds of The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Patients can listen to the radio, by using the headsets alongside there bed. Patients and visitors can make requests by phoning 01202 303887 (24 Hours)
