Visiting
Visiting hours vary depending on the type of ward, however the general times are 2.30pm to 8pm. Generally patients are only allowed two visitors at any one time. Visitors should check with the nurse in charge before bringing children to visit.
Parking
There is a large multi story car park at Poole Hospital. This is run on a pay & display basis, so please make sure that you bring some change with you. There are also a number of designated disabled parking spaces. However, this car park can become very full, and there is sometimes a wait. Visitors & patients can also use some of the town centre car parks, being just a short walk from the hospital. Please be aware that many of the streets around the hospital do operate restrictions on parking, often requiring a resident’s permit. There is a drop of and collection point at the main entrance. Should you require special assistance, please contact the hospital before arrival.
Refreshments
Meals are served at the following times. Breakfast 8.00 to 8.30am Lunch 12.00 to 12.30pm Dinner 6.00 to 6.30pm Visitors may be asked to leave during meal times. Visitors should check with a nurse before giving any gifts of food or drink, to ensure that they do not conflict with a patientÃs treatment or medication.

Restaurant
There is a restaurant serving meals and snacks on the lower ground floor of the main building. This is open to visitors patients and staff. There is also a snack bar near the main entrance. There are also several vending machines.

Shops
The hospital has a general store, offering essential items, food drink & magazines. There is also a florist.
There are regular ward visits by trolley shops. These trolley services are operated by volunteers.

Hospital Radio
Hospital Radio Bedside operates from its studio situated in the grounds of The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Patients can listen o the radio, by using the head set at their bedside. Visitors and patients can also make requests by phoning 01202 303887 (24 Hours).
