Parking
Visitors can use car parks A, C D and E. The multi-storey car park (car park B) is now a staff only car park and visitors are asked not to park in there.
To access the emergency centre:
There are 15 minute drop-off bays adjacent to the emergency department entrance. To access these please drive up to the main entrance and follow the road towards the emergency centre. All vehicles must be moved once the patient has been dropped off to the reception area.
To access the haematology/ oncology department of the department of sexual health (DOSH):
Car park F – can be found by driving past the main entrance and to the rear of the building.
Bus
The City Hospital is situated in Bretton, two miles from the city centre towards the north of the city.
Buses run from the Queensgate Bus Station to the City Hospital approximately every 10 minutes and the journey will take 15 – 25 minutes depending on traffic – numbers 2 – 3 – 4 – 25 – 300 – 309 – 310 – 312 – 313 (302 – Sundays). There is a bus stop located within the hospital grounds near the main entrance.
The railway station is a three minute walk from the bus station.
Refreshments
The restaurants are open every day from 7.30am – 8.30pm at PCH.
•Breakfast is served between 7.30am until 11.00am
•Lunch is served between 12.00 noon until 2.45pm
•Supper is served between 6.00pm until 8.00pm at PDH
•The salad bar is open between 12.00 noon until 4.00pm Monday to Friday only. Sandwiches, snacks, hot and cold drinks are available at all other times.
Coffee Shops
There is also a large Costa coffee shop, a Delimarché coffee shop and Toujours baguette cafe in the main atrium at PCH. A Delimarche coffee shop can also be found in the atirum of the women and children’s unit. They are open during the day Monday to Friday.
