Ashford
Pay and display parking for patients and visitors is close to the main hospital entrance.
Parking for blue badge holders is free of charge. Please bring your badge to the main reception desk (not just the number) for your free exit ticket.
St Peter’s
Barriered car parking (pay on exit) for patients and visitors is located at:
- The front of main outpatients
- Next to the Postgraduate Education Centre
- Alongside A&E and the Rowley Bristow Orthopaedic Centre
- Abbey Wing
Pay and Display car parking for patients and visitors:
- Maple Wing at rear of hospital

Blue Badge Holders
All disabled spaces are located close to the main hospital entrances and signs clearly direct the way for people with a disability. There is access on both sites for wheelchair users.
At St Peter’s there are automatic opening doors on Levels 1 and 2 of the Outpatient Department, at the entrance to the Duchess of Kent Wing and the entrance to Abbey Wing.
At Ashford there are ramps at both the Main Entrance and the Outpatient Department entrances. Both sites have easy access to lifts.
Blue badge holders may use the main outpatients car park free of charge. To obtain free exit, please take your badge to the main reception desk (not just the number) in outpatients.
Car parking concessions
For some patients visiting the hospitals regularly, car parking costs can be a burden. The following concessions are applicable at both hospital sites:

Claiming back parking costs
Help is available to some people travelling to hospitals under a Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme. You may be able to claim the cost of travelling to and from the hospital including car park costs, provided you use the cheapest mode of transport available if you are on a low income or you receive one of the benefits listed below.

By Car
Ashford Hospital is situated on the A30 to the West of London, close to junction 13 of the M25 and Heathrow Airport.
St Peter’s Hospital is located between Woking and Chertsey close to junction 11 of the M25.
By Bus
There are regular buses operating to Ashford Hospital from Ashford, Staines, Hounslow and other surrounding areas.

Hopper Service
There is a shuttle service between Ashford Hospital and St Peter’s Hospital which operates Monday to Friday.
It is free to all staff, patients and visitors and takes approximately 25 minutes outside of rush hour.
A reduced service runs at weekends and bank holidays for staff only.
Please note that due to Health and Safety guidelines and the limited capacity of the buses, there is no secure storage for wheelchairs, baby buggies, pushchairs and walking frames. Unfortunately, this means that they are not accepted on the hopper bus and would advise that you use the scheduled 446 service between sites instead (for which normal bus fares apply).

St Peter’s Hospital
Retreat Café
Situated in the Main Entrance, featuring Costa coffee, hot bistro food and hot grab-and-go snacks, including jacket potatoes, paninis and wraps, with daily menus advertised on screen.
Mon to Sun: 7.30am – 7pm
RVS Café
Situated in Abbey Wing, serves tea, coffee, sandwiches and a range of confectionery
Mon to Fri: 9am to 8pm
Sat and Sun: 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Just Dine / Aspects Restaurant
The restaurant is located a short walk from the Duchess of Kent entrance adjacent to Chertsey House, and offers traditional hot breakfast and lunch, including roast, fish and chips and curry days. It also features a deli-bar, salad bar and ice creams.
Mon to Fri: 7.30 am to 3.00pm
Breakfast is served from 07:30 – 11:00 am, and lunch 12:00 – 2:00 pm.
